Sanford, ME –August 15th, 2008 – Deborah J. Mullen joined Sanford Institution for Savings as marketing director according to the statement by Mark Mickeriz, bank president and CEO. Mullen will manage the day-to-day marketing functions for the bank, including advertising, public relations, promotions, community service activities, budgeting, marketing compliance and training.

Mullen was most recently assistant vice president of retail products/services for Ocean Bank.  She has over 20 years experience in bank and corporate marketing throughout the New England area. Mullen graduated from the Burdett School with a degree in business and attended the School for Financial Studies at Babson College. She holds various certificates in software, design, management and writing courses.

Mullen, a resident of Shapleigh for the past nine years, resides with her husband Bill on Square Pond.  Prior to living in Shapleigh, Mullen and her husband resided in Lynn, Massachusetts.  A self-proclaimed animal lover, Mullen enjoys cooking, intricate cake decorating and spending time on the lake.  She is a member of the Square Pond Association which promotes public awareness concerning the preservation of lake quality. Mullen is also a member of an Adobe User Group which discusses features and benefits of Adobe’s Design Suite software, CS.
